The International Conference on Materials for Environment, Sustainable Society and Global Empowerment (MESSAGE 2019) was jointly organized by Department of Nanotechnology, Visvesvaraya Technological University, Chikkaballapur, Karnataka and National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi in association with Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna, and Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela, Odisha.
The conference was conducted from 19th - 20th December 2019. The posters presented by faculty Ms. Jayana Rajvanshi and Ms. Jasmine Sethi and students Ms. Anushka Dwivedi, Mr. Aditya Khandelwal, Ms. Afreen Ali, Ms. Akshita Sharma, Ms. Amanpreet Kaur, Ms. Annatta Thomas, Ms. Divya Vinod, Ms. Monika Vaishnav, Ms. Pooja Singh, Mr. Ritesh Singh Chauhan, Mr. Raghav Bari of B.Sc. Biotechnology Part III gathered the attention of the delegates and fellow participants.
The conference included various sessions of national and international delegates based on Oxide Nanomaterials for Global Empowerment, Adopting sustainable technologies for Eco-friendly living- A small attempt to save environment, Smart polymeric systems for advanced applications: Where we are and where we go?, Greenhouse gas emission from agricultural ecosystem: Emission and Mitigation with reference to climate change, Resources recycling through urban mining: Recovery of valuable metals from e-waste by hydro-metallurgical method.
The conference provided a great platform to interact with delegates from Singapore, Nepal, etc. they shared a vast array of knowledge with the students. We are glad to share that Ms. Jasmine Sethi won the Best Poster Presentation Award for her Poster entitled “Developing Zero Waste Model at Dr. B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology, Jaipur”.
